MISHA LOBBAN
Director
Misha Lobban is the Chief Executive Officer of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of the Caribbean (ICAC) - the internationally recognized body for the accountancy profession in the Caribbean region.
She is a qualified public relations practitioner with over 14 years experience in PR management, marketing, special events planning media relations and promotions. Her experiences span public relations support to a government policymaker as well as technical membership bodies in the Caribbean. Her experience also includes interfacing with the print and electronic media, enhanced by a three-year stint as a journalist with the Gleaner.
Prior to joining the ICAC she worked with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Jamaica (a member body of the ICAC) for seven years in the capacity of Public Relations Officer. In this role, she was responsible for the management and promotion of the ICAJ with a membership of over 800 and also acted as Executive Director for the organisation annually.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) degree in English/Political Science and a Master of Arts degree in Communication Studies from the University of the West Indies (Mona).
She has served as Vice President of the Public Relations Society of Jamaica and an Executive member of that body. She has also served as a mentor with the KRC Mentorship Programme for youths in the inner city.
Misha was appointed to Board of the St. Andrew High School Foundation and has responsibility for the Foundation’s Communication/Public Relations Programme.
